London Underground Explosion Declared Terrorist Incident

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – An explosion on a London underground train has prompted panic amid rush hour commuters early this morning, according to officials.

London Metropolitan Police said they were responding to the incident at Parsons Green tube station in West London and would release updates in due time.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command declared it to be a “terrorist incident.”

The train line passing through the station in southwest London has been partly shut down while police investigate the scene.

It’s a line that’s packed with thousands of commuters heading into central London every morning.

As of now, London ambulance says 18 people are hospitalized.
