Fort Jackson Welcomes New Commander

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., —

Brigadier General Bradley Becker will be the 46th Commanding General in Fort Jackson’s history. A ceremony will be held Tuesday at Victory Field to commemorate the new position.

Becker will take over command from Brigadier General Peggy Combs who will return to her position as Commandant of the United States Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear School at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri.

Becker may be new to Fort Jackson, but he comes with a wealth of experience spanning back decades.

Brig. Gen. Peggy Combs says “General Becker is an exceptional leader who will lead Fort Jackson with distinction. He and his wife Sherri will be great teammates with our community partners in the greater Columbia area. We are fortunate that our Army selected this fantastic Army Family.”
