CHARLESTON, SC (WOLO) – Folly Beach is hoping to get federal aid to help recover from Hurricane Irma.

Officials say the sand from a $30 million re-nourishment project three years ago is mostly gone.

According to the Post and Courier of Charleston, Folly Beach is waiting on $10 million more from the 2015 Renourishment Project to replace the sand eroded by Hurricanes Matthew and Irma.
