UPDATE: Driver charged after tractor-trailer hits school bus in Newberry

NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– South Carolina Highway Patrol says a tractor-trailer driver has been charged after colliding with a school bus Thursday morning.
Newberry County deputies say the driver hit the school bus on US-76 near Airport Road.
According to investigators, 21 students and two faculty members were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
No serious injuries were reported.
Deputies say the collision was not weather related.
This incident remains under investigation.
