Disney Cruise raises gratuity rates

(CNN)– Taking a trip with Mickey Mouse will cost you a little more cheese.

Disney Cruise Lines has raised its recommended gratuity rates.

According to the company’s website, the base daily rate for tips is now $16 per guest.

That’s a $1.50 hike from before.

Customers in suites and concierge staterooms will now be charged $27.25 per day, an increase of nearly $4.

The tips which are spread to various crew members can be paid in advance.
