Houseal Granted Bond After Arrest In Vista Shooting

Columbia, SC (WOLO)– Maleik Houseal was arrested after being released from the hospital late Tuesday night. Houseal was wounded in connection with the shooting in the Vista right outside of Empire Supper Club. Houseal was transported to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center and had his bond hearing at 9:30 Wednesday morning. His bond was set at $50-thousand. He’s charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a crime of violence.

However, Columbia Police announced Wednesday afternoon Houseal will remain in custody due to an additional federal charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of a Crime of Violence.
