Roadway reopens after incident on Kiawah Road, say Irmo Fire District

IRMO, S.C. (WOLO)– Irmo Fire crews are at the scene of an incident at Bush River Road at Kiawah Road that has traffic in the area blocked, said the fire district.

Bush River Road headed towards the dam is closed at Wescott, and traffic is being rerouted or turned around, according to the fire department.

Injuries are minor, but people are asked to avoid the area as crews work to clear it.

The fire district said it’ll be a while before the road opens back up.
