NC Central rallies to beat SC State, 33-28 Thursday night

DURHAM, N.C. (WOLO) — The defending MEAC Champion North Carolina Central Eagles rallied Thursday night to beat South Carolina State, 33-28, giving the Bulldogs (1-2, 0-1 MEAC) their first loss in conference play.

SC State quarterback Dewann Ford threw for 221 yards and two touchdowns, and added two more TD’s on the ground, but State’s defense allowed two-straight touchdowns late in the fourth that sealed the game.

The Bulldogs now come back home to face North Carolina A&T Saturday September 30.
