GM reports record profits

(CNN)– General Motors reported record profits for 2024 and said it expects even better operating results in the year ahead.

However, the automaker also admitted new policies under the Trump Administration could impact those projections.

Tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico could disrupt GM’s supply chain and raise the cost of assembling vehicles.

That’s because those two countries provide parts to GM’s U.S. plants.

The company also has assembly plants in both countries sending cars to the U.S. market.
