Traffic Alert: Lexington to close lanes for overnight construction
Lexington, SC (WOLO) — If you plan on traveling through some parts of Lexington overnight Tuesday January 28, into Wednesday morning January 29, you may want to give yourself some extra time or find an alternate route.
The Lexington Police Department is alerting drivers to some overnight lane closures slated to begin Tuesday night. According to police, eastbound lanes of Sunset Boulevard/ US-378 at Mineral Springs Road will be shutdown beginning at 9 pm Tuesday night and will not reopen until 6 am Wednesday morning.
Officials say the lanes will be closed as a part of the Mineral Springs Road Right Turn Lane Project where contractors will be installing a storm drain. Police ask that drivers who need to travel through this area stay alert for the temporary changes as the closures will force lanes to merge and shift in the work zone.
Below is a map of the area that will be shutdown provided by Lexington Police.
