West Columbia Shooting

Columbia, SC (West Columbia Police Department)-

The West Columbia Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that took place around the 400 block of Sunset Boulevard on September 9, 2013 at approximately 6p.m.
Officers responded to a call of shots fired and discovered a mostly empty parking lot.
Within moments of arriving on the scene information was received that there was one victim at Lexington Medical Center and one victim at Palmetto Baptist Hospital.
Both victims suffered from apparent gunshot wounds.
Demetrius T.
Glenn 23, of Cayce, SC, suffered a non-life threatening wound to the groin area.
Xavier A.
Williams 25, of Columbia, SC, suffered non-life threatening wounds to the leg and arm.
It isn’t known at this time what led up to the shooting, but the investigation is on-going.
