Waffle House adds egg surcharge

(CNN)– Waffle House is adding an egg surcharge amid higher prices.

Customers will now have to pay 50 cents more per egg at the restaurant chain.

Waffle House says the surcharge is only in place until egg prices come down.

Egg prices have soared amid a shortage following a bird flu outbreak.
