Columbia approves plan to install T2 Cosmo Pay stations on Main Street

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — The City of Columbia has approved a proposal to install 12 ‘T2 Cosmo Pay Stations in the heart of the Capital city.
The move comes months after the city announced plans to raise parking fees downtown much to the shagrin of business owners who complained that their customers have nowhere to park.

City officials say this is the first of several projects they are implementing downtown to reinvest into the parking system.
In addition to the upgrading the infrastructure in the city, officials say the more modern look will also “enhance the customer experience” while making the hospitality district better looking.

The kiosk pay stations will begin going up Monday, February 10, 2025 replacing parking meters at Main and Laurel Streets (1200 block)  to Main and Gervais Streets (1700 block).
