2 go to hospital after Columbia police car wreck

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Two people went to the hospital after a wreck involving a Columbia police cruiser and another car. The wreck happened around 3 p.m. Sunday near Benedict College. Both drivers were taken to a hospital. South Carolina Highway Patrol Senior Trooper Bridget Wyant says the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. Their names were not released. The patrol says the police cruiser had blue lights flashing and siren activated. Troopers continue to investigate the wreck.
