CLEMSON, S.C. (WOLO) – One year after facing off for the ACC Title, Clemson and Virginia Tech could be on a collision course once again for the conference championship. But before either can approach an Atlantic or Coastal crown, they’ll square off in the regular season Saturday night in Blacksburg.
Dabo Swinney’s never lost to the Hokies in four tries as a head coach. He’ll look to continue that streak as his team returns to Lane Stadium for the first time since 2011, the same campaign he claimed his first Atlantic Coast Championship, the school’s first in 20 years.
Much like six years ago, both the Tigers and Hokies enter ranked in the Top 15, seeking a marquee win against an ACC elite program. Yet while VT’s only played one ranked opponent in 2017, CU will face their third Top 15 opponent in the last four weeks.
