SCHP investigate deadly hit and run

Oconee Co., SC (WOLO) — The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly hit and run they say happened just before 4 p.m. Monday evening. According to Corporal Nick Pye, a person was walking northbound along SC-11 just East of Spearman Road. Authorities say the vehicle was traveling southbound along the same road when it struck the pedestrian before fleeing the scene of the accident.

Corporal Nye says they are still investigating to find out what type of vehicle was involved in the deadly crash. If you were in the area and have any information that may help you are asked to contact authorities.
