FDA announces canned tuna recall

(CNN)– Be cautious before making your next tuna fish sandwich.

Tri-Union Seafoods has voluntarily recalled some of its canned tuna products.

According to the FDA, the pull-tabs on the cans have a defect, posing a potential botulism threat.

So far no related illnesses have been reported.

Consumers should return the product to the store where they bought it for a full refund.

Among the brand names affected: Genova, Trader Joe’s and H-E-B.
