Deputies: Two Midlands students charged for guns at school

Deputies say around 9 Tuesday morning school resource officers and administrators received tips that a 15 year old and a 17 year old brought guns to school.

 

 

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Richland Co. deputies say two students at Dutch Fork High School are facing charges after bringing guns on school grounds.

Deputies say around 9 Tuesday morning school resource officers and administrators received tips that a 15 year old and a 17 year old brought guns to school.

When they searched the students, deputies say they found a knife with a blade over six inches.

Authorities say two guns were found in their car.

Investigators say the students may have been involved in an attempted car-jacking earlier in the morning near Saddlerock Rd. and Concord Place.

Deputies say both students were transported to DJJ
