States issue pet food warning after cat deaths

(CNN)– There is a major warning for pet owners.

Some house cats in Oregon got sick with the bird flu and had to be euthanized due to their illness.

Raw pet food made by “Wild Coast Raw” has been linked to the cats’ sickness.

The Agriculture Departments in both Washington State and Oregon issued the public health notice.

They announced a recall for the boneless free-range chicken formula.

It has a best-by date of December 2025.

Consumers are urged to check the lot number and stop giving the product to their pets.
