Calhoun County man arrested on child sexual abuse material charges

CALHOUN COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Calhoun County man has been arrested in connection with the sexual exploitation of a minor, according to SC Attorney General Alan Wilson.

Corey Andrew Williams, 31, of  Elloree, was arrested on one charge connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators state that Williams distributed files of child sexual abuse material.

Williams was arrested on Tuesday, February 18, and charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree (§16-15-405), which is a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment.

Investigators with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, and U.S. Secret Service, also members of the state’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, assisted with the investigation.
