A convenience store clerk is accused of lottery fraud

Dorchester Co., SC (WOLO) — A convenience store employee is facing charges tonight after being accused of lottery fraud.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) says say 29-year-old Christopher Konwai was arrested on charges of Attempting to Influence a Game by Coercion and Tampering with lottery tickets. Authorities say Konwai is accused of scratching off tickets to see if they were winners then intentionally putting them in dispensers to be sold.

Konwai is being held in the Dorchester County Detention Center.
