Camden man sentenced to 7 years in federal prison

CAMDEN, S.C. (WOLO)– A Camden man has been sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison.

Back in 2022, 26-year-old Cameron Jones was arrested after trying to run from a Camden Police Officer.

While running Jones tossed items into a nearby bush which officers later found to be a firearm and 24 grams of cocaine.

Jones was arrested prior to this for cocaine distribution which prohibited him from owning a firearm, and was also a known gang member at the time of his arrest.
