Lexington PD warns drivers of overnight road closure

Lexington, SC (WOLO) — The Lexington Police Department is warning drivers that will be out between 9pm Monday night until 6am Tuesday morning.

According to police, the eastbound lanes of the 53-hundred block of Sunset Boulevard/ US 378 as well as the left turning lane along Mineral Springs will be closed to traffic beginning tonight. Authorities say they will have to shut the road down to allow contractors to complete needed roadway work.

Officials are asking motorist who plan to be in this area to drive alert and be ready for the roadway to shift around the work area.
