Video: Clowney Says He’s Committed To Team

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Jadeveon Clowney says he is committed to the Gamecocks and isn’t worried about the national criticism he’s received since deciding to sit out the Kentucky game with an injury.
Tuesday after practice the 2012 SEC defensive player of the year spoke publicly for the first time since not suiting up last Saturday.
Clowney said there was a miscommunication between himself, the USC trainers and coaches about his injury. Clowney said he has pulled muscle tendons on his ribs that bother him when he makes quick movements. The projected #1 overall pick in next year’s NFL draft said he cannot run and is questionable for this week’s game at Arkansas.
