ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sheriff Leroy Ravenell announced that investigators are searching for a missing and medically endangered Norway man.

Sheriff Ravenell said Orangeburg County Sheriff’s investigators have been searching for 71-year-old Elmer Scott since he was reported missing on Tuesday, February 11.

On Monday, investigators checked with Scott’s family members and learned that he had not returned to his Mell Wright Road home.

“If anyone has any information whatsoever, no matter how small you may think it is, please call us,” the sheriff said.

Scott is described as a black man, about 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighing around 165 pounds.

Orangeburg County investigators said he is known to frequent the Neeses and Norway areas.

If anyone has any information on Scott’s location, they are asked to call the Orangeburg County Communications Center at 803-534-3550.
