Popular game shows to head to streaming services

(CNN)– Two of America’s most popular game shows will be coming to a smart TV near you.

Sony is shopping “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy!” to streaming services.

Roughly seven million people watch each one on syndicated television.

But, popular TV shows have been moving to streaming services lately.

The Super Bowl was streamed live to Tubi, and Hulu will carry the Academy Awards on Sunday.

Broadcast TV will still have the edge for a few years though.

Whatever platform gets “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy” will only have access to episodes the day after they air on television.
