SCHP: 1 person killed after fatal incident in Kershaw County

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)–  Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say one person was killed in a fatal incident in Kershaw County Tuesday morning.

Investigators say just after six in the morning, a 2019 Dodge van and a 2013 Freight-liner truck were both traveling North on Highway 521 near Butternut Lane.

Troopers say the van tried to do a u-turn and was hit by the truck killing the van’s driver.

The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital.
