SLED: Orangeburg County man charged with vehicle crimes
ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– An Orangeburg County man has been charged with vehicle crimes.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged 31-year-old Jahwar Kimbrough with possession of a stolen vehicle valued at more than $10,000, breach of trust, and possession of a vehicle with an altered vin.
The SLED investigation was the result of an earlier case in Lake Wales, Florida.
The case later developed into an investigation in Orangeburg County that involved a chop shop.
Investigators found that multiple stolen trucks were being used to illegally take other vehicles and equipment from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
