Tariffs will impact gas prices

(CNN)– Tariffs on fuel imports from Canada will affect some parts of the U.S. more than others.

That is because different parts of the nation get gas, diesel and crude from various sources.

Experts say the northeast and west coast will likely see gas prices rise sooner than other regions.

Canada remains a prime source of oil for the U.S. last year it shipped in one-and-a-half billion barrels to the American market.

Analysts say the rise in fuel costs will not be immediate.
