Another man sentenced in connection with 2022 Columbiana Mall shooting

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A Columbia man has been sentenced to 30 years in connection to the mass shooting at Columbiana Mall in 2022.

24-year-old Amari Smith pleaded guilty to charges of attempted murder and assault for his role in the shooting.

Investigators say in April of 2022, 9 bystanders were shot when a dispute between 3 men turned violent inside the mall.

Other co-defendants Jewayne Price and Marquise Robinson were also convicted for the shooting.
