Local Living: Carolina Classic Home and Garden Show, Cherry Blossom Festival, St. Pat’s Five Points Fest, St. Pawtrick’s Day O’doption special

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, you can get your home ready for spring.
The 59th Carolina Classic Home and Garden Show hits the state fairgrounds this weekend.
The event is free is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on this Friday, March 14.
And from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, and Sunday, March 16.
There will be several vendors, live music, food trucks and more.
The Town of Irmo is hosting their 8th annual Cherry Blossom Festival.
The event seeks to enhance lives through the appreciation and understanding of nature and Japanese culture.
There will be blossom-viewing, food vendors, handcrafted artwork and more.
It takes place March 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Irmo Town Park.
The St. Pat’s Five Points Festival kicks off this Saturday, March 15.
The 5K/10K and 1 mile family fun run starts at 7:30 a.m., and the festival starts at 10 a.m.
There will be a parade, live music, and plenty of activities for the whole family.
Columbia Animal Services is hosting its St. Pawtrick’s Day O’doption special this month.
Adoption fees are waived for all pets in foster homes.
And for all other pets it is $17 to adopt.
The shelter on Humane Lane is open Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
