Gas prices fall amid recession fears

(CNN)– Gas prices are down slightly since January amid fears of a possible recession.

According to AAA, the national average price for a gallon of regular gas stands at $3.08.

In South Carolina, the average price for gas is $2.77 per gallon.

Prices at the pump have been dropping consistently since July, and oil prices have dropped 11% since January.

While even a small drop in gas prices is good news, it comes amid concerns about a possible recession.
