Trespasser who causes schools to go on lockdown arrested, Cayce Police say

CAYCE, S.C. (WOLO)– A person was arrested in connection with trespassing on Friday afternoon, according to Cayce PD.

Cayce Police Dept., says officers were investigating an individual for trespassing and failure to obey police commands.

The individual fled the area on foot, which caused out of an abundance of caution, several local schools to be put on lockdown and parents to be notified while the search took place.

Officers were able to catch the person shortly after.

The police department says further charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
