Pepsi to buy “Poppi” for $1.6 billion
(CNN)– Pepsi is buying a popular prebiotic soda brand, and jumping on the trend of “healthier sodas.”
Under the deal, Pepsi will pay $1.6 billion for “Poppi.”
Poppi has become increasingly popular since its appearance on “Shark Tank” in 2018.
In January, Pepsi bought Siete foods and the remaining half of the Sabra Hummus Brand as the company increases its line-up of healthier foods.
