Spring is springing and so is pollen

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — Spring is right around the corner, officially kicking off March 21, 2025 at 5:01 am.
Along with the start of a new season is the beginning of pollen exposure and it is picking-up nationwide.

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America released its report naming ‘allergy capitals’.

The biggest problems areas for allergy sufferers are in the Midwest and Southeast and the PLains
Wichita-Kansas landed in the top spot for a third year in a row due to its higher than average tree and grass pollen. The city also has more limited access to allergy specialists and medicine use.

In the meantime, New Orleans is in second place followed by Oklahoma City.
The least problematic cities are in the Northeast including Boston which is ranked as the least challenging.
