Beasley Named Bednarik Award Semifinalist

(WOLO) — Clemson defensive end Vic Beasley is among 16 semifinalists for the 2013 Chuck Bednarik Award.  The Tiger junior is tied for the nationally lead in sacks with 10.  The Bednarik Award goes annually to the best defensive player in the country.

USC junior defensive end Jadeveon Clowney did not make this year’s cut.  Last year, Clowney was one of three finalists.  Notre Dame’s Manti Te’o won the 2012 Bednarik Award.
