Pedestrian dies in late-night collision on Platt Springs Road in Lexington County

One person has died after a fatal auto-pedestrian collision in Lexington County Monday, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The crash reportedly occurred on Platt Springs Road at Sandy Springs Lane at 11:20 p.m.

A report from SCHP states that a 2007 Honda Accord was traveling east on Platt Springs Road when they struck a pedestrian that was walking south on Platt Springs Road.

The driver of the Honda was uninjured and the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the pedestrian as 34-year-old Brian Austin Robinson, according to the coroner’s office.
