St. Matthews man arrested by Sumter County deputies for criminal sexual conduct with a minor

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A St. Matthews man was arrested by Sumter County deputies for criminal sexual conduct with a minor, says the sheriff’s office.

Deputies say after an investigation by the Cayce Police Department and the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, Ronald Burell Chestnut was charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

Chestnut voluntarily surrendered himself to investigators at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office and was arrested on Wednesday, March 26.

He was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and given a $15,000 surety bond.
