Sumter County deputies searching for local grocery store burglars

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is searching for burglars who entered a local grocery store and stole narcotics from pharmacy area, said officials.
According to the sheriff’s office, in the early morning hours around 2:38 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, burglars entered the Piggly Wiggly on Guignard Parkway.
Deputies arrived at the scene and found burglars had stolen narcotics from the store’s pharmacy, after being alerted about the incident by an alarm system.
“These thieves should know that this brazen act will not be tolerated in Sumter County,” said Sheriff Anthony Dennis.
