Bicyclist struck by two vehicles killed in hit & run on US-321 in Orangeburg

ORANGEBURG CO., S.C. (WOLO) – South Carolina Highway Patrol says a bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run involving two vehicles overnight.

Lance Corporal Brittany Glover says it happened at approximately 3:35 a.m. on U.S. Highway 321 at River Rest Road.

According to Lance Corporal Glover, the pedestrian was on their bicycle traveling south in the roadway when two vehicles struck them.

The victim died on scene from their injuries and both vehicles fled the scene.

The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office is working on identifying the victim.

Highway Patrol is investigating and seeking any information about this incident.
