2 Sumter County men arrested on meth distribution charges
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Two Sumter County men have been arrested in connection with meth distribution charges, says the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office says deputies were making a routine traffic stop around 11:07 a.m. on Monday, April 7, when meth was found in a vehicle.
The vehicle was stopped on Nazarene Church Road after noticing an illegal window tint. During the stop a K-9 unit was deployed for a free-air sniff around the vehicle, says SCSO.
The K-9 alerted deputies to the presence of illegal drugs, prompting a search of the vehicle. Deputies recovered suspected methamphetamine and arrested both the driver and passenger.
The suspects were identified as 44-year-old Jason Leonard Dubose and 45-year-old Jason David McLamb. Both men were taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, where they are awaiting a bond hearing.
