USPS recommends raising prices
(CNN)– It could soon cost more to send mail.
The U.S. Postal Service is trying to raise prices.
The proposed rates include a five-cent increase for first-class forever stamps from 73 cents to 78 cents.
The price to send domestic postcards would jump from 56 cents to 62 cents.
Also, the cost to send metered letters and international letters and postcards would increase by five cents.
If approved, the new prices will take effect July 13.
