Listeria risk for celery sticks sold at Walmart
(CNN)– The company “Duda Farm Fresh Foods” has issued a voluntarily precautionary advisory for a batch of ready-to-eat celery sticks due to possible listeria contamination.
The advisory covers more than 1500 cases of four-pack “Marketside celery sticks.”
They were distributed and sold in Walmart stores across multiple states.
All the potentially affected units are past their expiration date and no longer for sale, but some consumers may have frozen them for later use.
Consumers who have this product should throw it out.
So far, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the product.
