SC Senate holding removal hearing for State Treasurer Curtis Loftis

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– At the SC State House, State Treasurer Curtis Loftis’ Senate removal hearing is set to get underway.

Last week, the South Carolina Supreme Court denied Loftis’ petition to delay the hearing.

The Senate will hear arguments on whether to remove Loftis from his elected seat after a $1.8 billion dollar accounting error.

But the State Treasurer has said “there was no missing money, no misspent money and no stolen money.”
