Improvements at Hopkins Park unveiled

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Summer is right around the corner and that means swimming pool season.

Tuesday morning, April 22, officials with the Richland County Recreation Commission unveiled improvements made to the Hopkins Park pool over the Fall and Winter.

The improvements include a renovated pool, accessibility improvements, and a shaded area with picnic tables.

Officials say it is something the community can really be proud of.

The upgrades were paid for through a combination of local and state grants.

Hopkins Park is open from 2 p.m. in the afternoon through 9 p.m. in the evening on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
