Max ends password sharing

(CNN)– The popular streaming service, Max wants to crack down on password sharing.

So the platform is launching a new feature called extra member add-on.

Max users who want to add an extra person to their subscription can now do so.

It’s a cost of $7.99 a month to add a family member or friend who does not live with a Max user.

The move comes after Max parent company, ’Warner Brothers Discovery’ was getting ready to notify users of restrictions for sharing streaming accounts outside their household.
