Field day goes high tech at a Midlands high school

COLUMBIA, S.C.(WOLO)– Field day went high tech today at a Midlands high school.

Columbia High School held a Tech-in-Action Field Day to give students the chance to get some hands on experience with things like drones, flight simulators, and virtual reality simulations.

Teachers who spoke with ABC Columbia say experiences like these can spark a lifetime love of technology.

Representatives from area colleges and universities as well as the armed forces were also on hand on Thursday, April 24, to talk with students about opportunities after graduation.
