Deputies: Santee woman shot in cellphone argument

SANTEE, S.C. (AP) — Orangeburg County sheriff’s deputies say a Santee woman trying to sell her cellphone shot and killed another woman who complained the phone did not work. Authorities said 35-year-old Tonya Lemon died Saturday night after being rushed to the hospital in a car. Investigators say 28-year-old Adrienne Randolph was trying to sell her cellphone to Lemon’s friend, but it didn’t work and Lemon was complaining. Deputies say Randolph came back with a gun, shooting first at Lemon’s feet and then at her chest. Randolph is charged with murder and remains in jail. It was not known if she had a lawyer.
