City of Columbia Community Development Department held block party celebration

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The City of Columbia Community Development Department got the weekend party started early today.

The department held a block party on Bull Street this afternoon (April 25) to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

The department says its mission is to improve the quality of life for Columbia’s citizens by providing economic, housing and social opportunities.

And after 50 years, they say they’re just getting started.

The Columbia Community Development Department was founded in 1975.
