Walmart to remodel 33 SC stores in 2025

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Walmart says it is investing in South Carolina stores with plans to remodel 33 stores in the state.

This includes the Walmart stores on Forest Drive in Columbia, Augusta Road in West Columbia, and Sunset Boulevard in Lexington.

Some of the changes include wider aisles and privacy checkout areas in their pharmacies, new displays to better showcase merchandise, plus expanding online pickup and delivery.

Prior to 2025, Walmart says it has invested $279 million to upgrade stores throughout South Carolina in the past five years.
